Our beautiful chapel is large and spacious, captures natural light and stunning views, and is a truly peaceful sacred space for prayer, reflection, meditation and the celebration of the Eucharist.
Our conference room is a large multipurpose space (approximately 18m x 8.5m) with sound system, 75” flat screen TV for displays and presentations, and reverse cycle air conditioning. The conference room can be used as one very large space or broken up into one large and one medium space or into one large and two smaller spaces. Depending upon the configuration of the room, it is suitable for groups of up to 150 or more people.
The dining room boasts stunning views of the Lysterfield valley and the Dandenong Ranges. Flexible table and seating configurations ensure that it is suitable for smaller and larger groups alike, with a comfortable capacity of approximately 60 people. There is also a relaxation area and a 24/7 tea and coffee station.
Our amazing catering staff offer a wide range of menu options for morning and afternoon teas, breakfasts, lunches and dinners, with sensitivity to guests’ dietary requirements. We specialise in country style food, freshly prepared using fresh ingredients. Groups may also hire the kitchen if they wish to self-cater.
Groups who wish to self-cater may hire our spacious, well equipped kitchen, which has a large commercial stove (large oven and six burners), medium sized electric oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, pots and pans, and other essential equipment.
We have three accommodation areas. The Larkins Block offers single and twin share accommodation for between 20 and 40 people, with shared toilet and shower facilities (private family style arrangement). A spacious living room offers stunning views of the Lysterfield Valley and a space to relax, talk and share. The Edwards Cottage, located approximately 200m from the main retreat centre complex, offers accommodation for between 7 and 12 people, with shared toilet and shower facilities (private family style arrangement). There are three very comfortable two-room “flats” with ensuite facilities, and access to a shared living room.
The games room offers a range of recreation activities including table tennis, table soccer, billiards, etc..
In addition to the conference room (which is large enough for four or more breakout groups), the living room adjacent to the flats, an interview room in the chapel block, the relaxation area in the dining room and the living room in the main accommodation block are all suitable for breakout groups.
Grounds and Walks
Our grounds offer multiple opportunities to stand in awe before the majesty of God’s creation, to find a quiet spot for reflection and to relax. There are also many short or extended walks along the driveway, up the hill, along the creek or into the adjacent state forest.
